Early Career:

On leaving school in the mid seventies and spending a short period unemployed, Anton’s first job was as a clerical officer with the Ministry of Defence. Even during this period, he was gaining valuable knowledge of the licensed trade assisting his parents who were successful licensees in several public houses.

He joined Whitbreads Brewery, Maidstone in 1979 as a tied trade administrator, but after 18 months moved over to the managed house stocktaking department where he began to learn his trade. Some two years later he joined a small firm of stocktakers, brokers and accountants in Canterbury where he expanded his knowledge of stocktaking over the next five years. Time came to go it alone and Anton has run his own stocktaking business ever since.

ILTSA Involvement:

Anton passed the Institute examination in 1989 and was elected to the council of management in May 2007. A staunch supporter of the Institute a further claim to fame is that he has never missed an AGM since 1989.
